Chresanthe Staurulakis - Obituary

hresanthe Staurulakis, 75, a 15 year resident of Boca Raton, FL and previously of Rockville, MD and Bowie, MD died on January 20, 2009 from complications due to scleroderma. Born November 6, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY, she was a homemaker most of her life. Her memberships included Ss. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Annapolis, MD and St. Mark's Greek Orthodox Church in Boca Raton, FL. Mrs. Staurulakis enjoyed Greek dancing and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, of 51 years, John Staurulakis; mother of Manny Staurulakis of McLean, VA, Joanne Scheller of Boca Raton, FL and Leo Staurulakis of Riva, MD; sister of Maria Tavla of Boston, MA; grandmother of John, Douglas, Chresanthe, Nicholas, Zoe, Carl, Dina and Anastasia.Friends are invited to Chresanthe's Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Friday, January 23 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at Ss.
