hristopher Aloysius Enright, 81, a three-year resident of Annapolis and previously of Oakland, N.J., died of heart failure Feb. 26 at Heritage Harbour Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born Sept. 17, 1927, in Jersey City, N.J., to Christopher A. and Margaret Enright. He received his B.S. in Mathematics from St. Peters College.
He worked as a sales engineer.
He served as a first lieutenant forward observer in Korea from 1953 to 1957. He was awarded the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal and U.N. Service Ribbon.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Annapolis. He was an avid tennis player and sports enthusiast
He was preceded in death by one sister, Claire Portfolio.
Survivors include his wife, Alice M. Enright, whom he married in 1961; two sons, Michael A. Enright of Annapolis and Christopher M. Enright of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one daughter, Rosemary Lally of Washington, D.C.; two sisters, Marjorie Ingenito of Absecon, N.J. and Loretta McGlaughlin of Ormond Beach, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Patrick and Grace Lally.
A wake will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 6 at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 109 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis. Interment will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 9 at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
