Christopher Jones - Obituary

hristopher “Kamikaze” David Jones, a resident of Crofton, MD, died on May 30, 2009 near his residence. Chris was 14 years old. Born October 27, 1994 in Silver Spring, MD, he attended South River High School. His interests included hockey, football, paintball, swimming, riding his dirt bike and playing his PS3. Chris was loved by all his friends. He enjoyed helping people. At school he would help a disabled friend, to get prepared for his school day. Chris is survived by his parents David L. Jones and Jennifer S. Adkins, both of Crofton, MD, his step father Paul Adkins of Crofton, his sister Carrie Jones of Crofton, MD, his grandparents, Sharon Lenox, of Crofton, MD, Joe and Judy Manning, of Westminster, MD and the late James Lenox. Friends are invited to Chris' Life Celebration on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 from 6-8pm and on Wednesday from 10am until time of funeral service at 11am at Riva Trace Baptist Church, 475 West Central Ave., Davidsonville, MD 21035. Interment Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Cemetery. The family has requested that the graveside service be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Christopher Jones Memorial Account c/o PNC BANK, 813 Mountain View Drive, Westminster, MD 21157 or at any local PNC branch. Arrangements are by the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, Edgewater, MD.
