Claire A. Brierton - Obituary

laire A. Brierton, 61, a 30 year resident of Upper Marlboro, MD passed away on October 3rd, 2022 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis. Claire was born on April 19, 1961 in Pittsburgh, PA to Adolf and Marion Morczek. She grew up in Kennerdell, PA and in 1980 at the age of 19 Claire moved to Pittsburgh, PA, where she would meet the man who would later become her beloved husband of over 40 years. In 1987 Claire and her husband Bill settled down in Upper Marlboro. Claire would later earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences and Project Management from The University of Maryland. She would then go on to work for the federal government as a Project Manager. One of Claire’s favorite things to do was to go on road trips with her husband. While on their trips, Claire would be in the passenger seat snapping photos as they went along. Many of these trips took place before GPS and they were never lost due to Claire’s mastery at navigating from a map. After a photography trip, Claire would take her photos and put them into scrapbooks. Claire is preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived by her devoted husband, William “Bill” Brierton, of Upper Marlboro. All services are private.
