Claire Campbell - Obituary

laire Marie Campbell, age 67, a 4-year resident of St. Leonard, MD and formerly of Lake Anna, VA and Riva, MD died on November 21, 2008 at her daughter's home in Edgewater, MD after a 4-month battle with cancer. She was born on July 8, 1941 in Geneva, NY and graduated from Geneva High School. She was a homemaker most of her life and was an avid bingo player who loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was the beloved wife of Dennis Campbell; mother of Stephen Campbell of Prince Frederick, MD, Cynthia Sullivan of Riva, MD and Patricia Johnson of Edgewater, MD; sister of Robert Decker of Waterloo, NY, Henry and Gary Decker of Geneva, NY, Barbara Duffy of St. Augustine, FL, JoAnn Blankenberg of Newark, NY and Lynne Decker of Seneca Falls, NY; and daughter of the late Henry & Elizabeth Decker. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Friends are invited to Claire's Life Celebration at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Monday, November 24, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, November 25, at 10:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville, MD. Interment private.
