lara Marie Teets, 63, a resident of the Beverly Beach region in Edgewater, MD for over 6 years and previously of Landover Hills, MD died on December 4, 2008 at the South River Health and Rehabilitation Center in Edgewater, MD. Born, October 9, 1945, in Washington, D.C., she graduated from Chamberlain Vocational High School in Washington, D.C. in 1964 and Star Beauty Academy in Washington, D.C. in 1965. She was employed as a Senior Cosmetologist in the metro D.C. area. Clara was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Landover Hills, MD. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, dancing, shopping, listening to music, vacations, going to the beach, watching movies, spending time with family and friends and she especially loved eating crabs. She is the beloved mother of Natalie Marie Teets of Edgewater, MD; sister of Patricia Norquest of Pauls Valley, OK and Irene Blaine Tuttle of Oklahoma; aunt of Suzanne Norquest of Maryland, Shirley Moody of Oklahoma, Greg Blaine of Oklahoma and the late Michael Blaine; former wife of Carl Teets of Mayo, MD. Friends are invited to Clara's Life Celebration on Tuesday, December 9 from 4pm until time of service at 5pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD. Interment private.
