Clarence Rogers - Obituary

larence Frederick Rogers, 98, a native and lifelong resident of Shady Side, died of natural causes May 10 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Mr. Rogers was born June 12, 1908, and worked as a carpenter, boat builder and waterman until retiring. He was a longtime member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Shady Side. Surviving are his wife of 73 years, Grace Rogers; two sons, William Rogers of Shady Side and Howard Rogers of Annapolis; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was the son of the late Oliver and Sarah Rogers. Visitation is from 6 to 8 tonight at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, where services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow. Burial will follow in Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville.
