lifford “Cliff” W. Kopf of Edgewater, MD passed away on February 5, 2026. He was 88 years old. Cliff was born in Oak Park, Illinois on March 13, 1937, to the late Clemons and Jennie Kopf. His family moved to Spring Field, Pennsylvania in his teens. He attended West Catholic High School and was part of the 1955 graduating class. He graduated from Villanova University in June of 1961 with a B.S. in Economics after taking a brief break to attend basic training for the National Guard. From there, he worked for Thomas & Betts from January of 1963 until retirement in September of 1998. He was highly respected and recognized for his success as a salesman in his 36 years of employment with them. Cliff served his country and his community. He was an Airman third class in the US Air Force Reserve from 1960 to 1965. He served as a board member on Community Associations such as Southdown Community Association in Edgewater, MD, Southdown Pool, and Villas of Bethany West in Bethany Beach. He was also a member of the American Legion, Fleet Reserve, and the Annapolis Moose Club. Cliff enjoyed golfing, boating, and spending time with his family. He is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Barbara E. Kopf of Edgewater, MD; his children, son Michael Kopf (Donna Kopf) of Odenton, MD, daughter Linda Kopf Poore (Steve Wiles) of Gambrills, MD, and son Robert “Bob” Kopf (Kelly Kopf) of Annapolis, MD; his grandchildren, Shawn Kopf, Braden Poore, Justin Poore, Jordan Kopf, Colton Kopf, Evan Kopf, Erika Kopf Thomasson, Katelyn Poore Nolan, Gabrielle Kopf, and Kayla Kopf; his siblings, brother George Kopf of Fort Mill, SC, brother Clemons Kopf of Glenwood Springs, CO, and sister Mary Kopf Shoemaker of Blue Bell, PA, as well as three great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Brooks and Quinn. Friends and family are welcome to gather on Saturday, March 14 from 5 to 9 pm at the Selby Club House (3715 1st Ave, Edgewater, MD 21037) to share memories of Cliff and celebrate his life.
