olleen C. Cochran
July 2, 1945 – June 12, 2022
Colleen passed away at her home in Ocean City at the age of 76.
She was born on July 2, 1945, to Robert and Beverly Collins and grew up in DC. This is also where she met the love of her life, Alfred (Al) Cochran. Her man in blue. They were married in 1962, and shortly thereafter they moved to Maryland, where they raised their family. They did this alongside their best friends the Haines'. Charlie Haines was Al's brother in blue and Bonnie and Colleen were their devoted wives. Our families have been intertwined ever since.
Colleen always put her family first – making every occasion perfect. She was a beautiful soul who touched so many lives and hearts through her kindness, cards, phone calls, time, and baking.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband (Al). She is survived by her two children Rob (Michelle) and Cindy (Mike); her five grandchildren Kyle, Kevin, Amanda, Jessica, and Mikey; her two great grandsons Liam and Landon; her sister Roberta (Bobbi) Armstrong; all her nieces and nephews; and her best friend Bonnie Haines (and family).
Our hearts are broken, but hers is once again whole as she watches over us all hand and hand with our father.
Friends and family are invited to Colleen's Life Celebration at George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Wednesday, June 22nd from 4 - 6 PM. The funeral service will follow immediately afterwards. The interment at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville will be held privately on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HEROES, Inc., 1200 29th St., N.W., Washington DC 20007.
