Connie Gross - Obituary

onnie Karen Gross, of Lothian Maryland, passed away on February 25, 2023, peacefully at home. Connie was born on September 27, 1945, to parents MildredL. (Bogard) King and Howard H. King. Connie graduated from Bladensburg High School and went on to start her career at NASA, in Greenbelt MD. Connie met and married Carl Gross and together they had their son Wade Scott Gross who predeceased her 6 years ago. Connie retired from NASA in 2004 with over 40 years of service just in time for the birth of her beloved granddaughter Savannah Gross. Connie had a passion for baking, crafts, and sewing. She enjoyed sharing her skills with her granddaughter, Savannah. Connie will be remembered for her great sense of humor and her caring nature. Connie is survived by her husband, Carl Gross, granddaughter Savannah Gross and her niece Renee King. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Connie's life on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, from 2 pm to 4 pm and again from 6 pm until 8 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD 21037 where a funeral service with Connie will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at 1 pm. Interment will follow at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville, MD.
