Conrad E. Sump - Obituary

onrad Edward Sump, "Coach/Fa Fa," a 15-year resident of Annapolis, MD, and previously of Sykesville, MD, died at his home on February 27, 2024, at 59. Born April 14, 1964, in Huntington, NY, to the late Conrad Richard and Ruth Ann Sump, he received M.B.A. and J.D. degrees. Conrad practiced various areas of law, including healthcare, real estate, and family law, and worked as a senior investigator for the Department of Justice. He was a longtime member of Annapolis Evangelical Lutheran Church in Edgewater, MD. Conrad enjoyed coaching, teaching, hunting, music, playing guitar, singing, cars, gardening, and spending time with family. He is survived by two children, Conrad Christian (Madison) Sump of Annapolis, MD, and Kimberly Meta Sump of Cape Coral, FL; a sister, Linda (Bruce) Spang of Billings, MT; and three grandchildren, Rooney Sump, Conrad Sump, Jr., and Scarlett Sump. Friends are invited to celebrate Conrad's life on Monday, March 4, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 5, at 11 am at Annapolis Evangelical Lutheran Church, 38 W Central Ave, Edgewater, MD 21037. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens. Friends and family are invited to a reception held at Annapolis Evangelical Lutheran Church following the interment.
