Corazon (Cora) Dagdag Blancaflor was finally reunited with the love of her life on July 15, 2021.  Her beloved husband of over 50 years, August (Gus) Aranas Blancaflor, died in 2018.  Cora spent the last 3 years reminiscing their time together and looked forward to seeing him once again in heaven.

Cora lived a long and fulfilling life and died peacefully after an extended hospitalization due to heart ailments. She is survived by two of her children, Audie and Cynthia Blancaflor. Her oldest child, Cristina (Tina) Blancaflor passed away several weeks before her. She was the proud grandma of Bianca Blancaflor and enjoyed watching her grow up.

Cora was a devout Catholic and was an active parishioner of the St. Columba parish in Oxon Hill, MD. Her faith in God was her joy and comfort.  One of her favorite experiences was visiting Jerusalem with her church group and seeing firsthand many of the Biblical historical sites located there.

Cora loved to travel and visited many countries such as England, Spain, Vietnam and Morocco. She enjoyed collecting souvenirs from places she visited and many of them would be seen on display in her home.

Relatives and friends are invited to Cora's Life Celebration on Friday, August 13 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, August 14 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Columba Catholic Church, 7800 Livingston Rd., Oxon Hill, MD.  Interment at Arlington National Cemetery on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 2 p.m. If attending the service at Arlington please arrive at the Administration Building at 1:15 p.m. with Identification and one's own transportation.
