Courtney Quinn - Obituary

ourtney R. Quinn, 16, of Crofton, died Monday, May 28 after losing a two year battle with cancer. Born April 2, 1996 in Red Bank, NJ to Thomas and Nicole Quinn, Courtney attended Crofton Elementary, Crofton Middle School and Arundel High School. She was a member of Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church in Millersville and sang in their Life Teen Choir. She was also a member of the Junior National Honor Society. Courtney enjoyed competing in gymnastics, swimming, babysitting and taking care of other kids, going to movies and shopping. She also enjoyed working out, arts and crafts and spending time with her family. She is survived by her parents, one sister, Carly and one brother, Cooper; her grandparents Elizabeth and the late Jerry Quinn and Rose Marie and the late Edward Hlavach and one great-grandmother Carmela Frangione. Friends are invited to Courtney’s Life Celebration on Wednesday, May 30 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater from 2-4PM and 7-9PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 31 at 10AM at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church in Millersville. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
