raig Alan Moffatt, Sr. “Butch”, 69, a 37-year resident of Edgewater, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Butch was born on December 26, 1952, in Iowa to the late George, Jr. and Lorraine Moffat. He worked as a parts manager for Pep Boys in Annapolis. Butch was a member of the American Legion, and his interests included bowling, playing cards, painting cars, car racing, and spending time at cookouts with his family. In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his son, Craig A. Moffatt, Jr. He was also preceded in death by brothers-in-law Bill Maus, David Hartlove, III, and sister in law, Linda J. Hartlove, and brothers-in-law Paul Booth, David Freeman, and Ricky Neal. Butch is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Donna Moffatt, his daughter, Lyndsey Lawrence and her husband Nick, and his granddaughter, Maya Lawrence of Shady Side, MD, his sister Cindy Booth of Delaware, his sisters-in-law, Patricia Maus of South Carolina and Allison Neal, and niece, Nikki Sissler. Also survived by many other family members and friends. A celebration of Butch’s life will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022, from 1 pm until 4 pm at the American Legion Post 226, 830 Mayo Rd, Edgewater, MD 21037.
