al “Butch” C. Van Dolsen, 69, a ten year resident of Edgewater passed away at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. on March 27, 2008 of an acute myocardial infarction. Born on March 30, 1938 in Gowanda, New York. He was employed as a master electrician who became a manager fro the D.C. Water & Sewage Authority. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1955-59. He played the clarinet with the Redskins Marching Band & in the Marine Corps. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Club. His hobbies include music, RVing, crossword puzzles, reading and dancing. Survivors include his wife of 9 years, Helga U. Van Dolsen; two step-sons Lloyd Woodall of Centreville and Erich Woodall of Edgewater; one step-daughter Holly Woodall of Lothian; three step-grandchildren. All services and interment are private.
