ale Franklin Armstrong, 69, a resident of Riva for more than 30 years and previously of Crownsville, died on March 19 at his home. He was born on February 16, 1943 in West Virginia and graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Design. He was a graphic designer at Gene Hanson Creative Services in Annapolis and also delivered bulk newspapers for the Capital.
Dale enjoyed fishing, swimming and hunting. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and the National Rifle Association. He was also an avid University of Maryland basketball fan. Most of all, Dale loved being at the beach with his dog, Jake, and spending time with friends at Mike’s Crab House.
He is survived by his daughter, Rachel D. Warren of Baltimore and his former wife, Sharon Armstrong of Annapolis.
Friends are invited to Dale’s Life Celebration on Thursday, March 22, from 6 to 9PM at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. A funeral service will be held at 2PM on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Edgewater United Methodist Church, 2764 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. Interment private.
