Daniel John Adams - Obituary

aniel John Adams, 91, a 30-year resident of Annapolis passed away at his home on January 26, 2021. He was born on May 15, 1929 in New York, NY to the late Joseph and Sadie Adams. After graduating high school, Dan served in the U.S. Air Force, advancing to the level of staff sergeant. Afterward, he worked for 40 years in the avionics industry. Dan was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Annapolis and the American Legion Post 7. He was an airplane enthusiast and enjoyed boating. Dan is survived by his sons, Daniel (Michele) Adams of New Market, MD and James (Sheri) Adams of Bel Air, MD; and his grandsons, Samuel and Benjamin Adams. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Julia, and his brother, Eugene. Friends are invited to celebrate Dan’s life with his family on Wednesday, February 3 from 12 p.m. until his service begins at 1 p.m. at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Interment will follow at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion Post 7, 1905 Crownsville Rd., Annapolis, MD 21401.
