Daniel Luis Rodriguez Bowman - Obituary

aniel Luis Rodriguez Bowman passed away after a brief illness on March 7, 2023 in Edgewater, MD, surrounded by his family. Born Luis Alberto Rodriguez on May 6,1988 to Rosario Rodriguez Ordonez in Retalhuleu, Guatemala, Dan was immediately placed into foster care and adopted by Marvin and Tamara Tait Bowman. He came home to Maryland in October 1988, attended school in Lusby and graduated from Patuxent High School in 2006. He has resided in the Annapolis area since 2013. Dan is survived by his beloved husband, Marcos Alberto Cano Flores; his father, Marvin and stepmother, Barbara both of Mechanicsville, MD; his sister, Alicia; three nieces, Makaela, Dulce, and Rosabel and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Tammy; his grandparents, Robert and Anna Tait and Richard and Olga Bowman and cousins, Scott Miller and Angie Lepsch. He was a caring friend to those who knew him well. Dan will be remembered fondly and dearly missed by his close friends and family. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dan’s life on Sunday, March 12, from 12 pm until his funeral service begins at 1 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Interment immediately following at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Memorials contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
