Daniel Joseph Quagliarello - Obituary

f Oxon Hill, MD passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016 at his home. Dan was born in Philadelphia, PA on January 8, 1933. After graduation from Drexel University in 1955, he joined the US Navy and attended Officer Candidate School in Rhode island. He served three years as an officer in the Navy. He then accepted a civilian position as a chemical engineer in Washington DC. He retired from Naval Air Systems Command in 1988 after 32 years of service. He then went on to serve as an Insurance Agent with the Knights of Columbus until 2008. He was an active member of the Sons of Italy and the Knights of Columbus Council 3877. Dan is survived by his wife of 56 years Frances Anne. His Sister Loretta Braccili (Vincent) of Upper Darby, PA. Father of Danelle Chapman(Kenneth), Daniel (Judith), Anthony (Patti), Maria Clark (Paul), David, Michelle Clewley (Daniel) and Mark (Hadley). Grandfather of Elizabeth, Rachel, Matthew, Luke, Avery, Sierra, Olivia, Emily and Landon The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM on Sunday, October 2nd at George Kalas Funeral Home, 6160 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, Oxon Hill, MD at 11:00AM on Monday, October 3, 2016. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, MD.
