Daniel Sohovich - Obituary

aniel John Sohovich, II Daniel John Sohovich, II, “Dan”, 23, a 20 year resident of Harwood, Maryland, died suddenly on Thursday, June 9, 2011. Born January 26, 1988 to Martin and Vera Sohovich, he was a 2006 graduate of Southern High School and a member of the National Honor Society. Dan also attended Virginia Tech until 2010. Dan was a parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in West River and enjoyed working out, spending time with his friends and family, going to the beach. He was also an avid Virginia Tech Hokies fan. Dan was predeceased by his grandfathers; Bernard James and Daniel Sohovich. In addition to his parents, Martin Sohovich of Harwood and Vera Sohovich of Edgewater, Dan is survived by his brothers and best friends, Adam and Stuart James, both of Harwood and his grandmothers; Dolores James of Crownsville and Kathryn Sohovich of Mingo Jct., Ohio. Friends are invited to Dan’s Life Celebration on Monday, from 2 to 4pm and from 6-9pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home. 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD 21037. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 11am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 101 Owensville, Rd., West River, MD. Interment will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Virginia Tech Foundation, Inc, 902 Prices Fork Road, Blacksburg, VA, 24061.
