anielle Monique Smith (“Dani†and “Damoâ€), 26, a 13-year resident of Annapolis and previously of Rockville, MD, died of heart failure on July 31, 2009 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD. Born on March 20, 1983 in Fairfax, VA, she was the daughter of Warren W. Smith of Annapolis and Laura J. Golden of Upper Marlboro, MD. She attended Broadneck High School and Anne Arundel Community College. She was a loving mother who valued friendship and creativity. She was an avid photographer and loved cooking, reading, writing and watching movies. In addition to her parents, she is survived by one son, Cory; one daughter, Rachel; two brothers, Steed and Sean Smith and a sister, Tifany Smith, all of Annapolis; and her grandparents, Merle Smith of Florida and Ray and Jean Fisher of West Virginia. She was also the granddaughter of the late Walter L. Parker and the late Rosemary Smith. Friends are invited to Danielle's Life Celebration on Friday, August 7, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 8, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church, 3820 Aspen Hill Road, Silver Spring, MD. Interment St. Stephens Episcopal Church Cemetery.
