arren George Gilbreath, Sr., a 28-year resident of Annapolis and previously of Howard County, died on January 13 at his residence. He was 43.
Darren was born April 10, 1970 in Washington, D.C. to Richard E. and Jane A. Gilbreath and was a 1989 graduate of Annapolis High School.
He enjoyed fishing, cars, country music, was an avid Redskins fan, and liked to entertain people with his comedy.
In addition to his parents Darren is survived by his children, Brittany Young of Millersville and D.J. Gilbreath of Hanover, his siblings: Terry and her husband Bob Delph of Mt. Airy, Ricky and his wife Michele Gilbreath of Davidsonville, Robin and her husband David Beck of Davidsonville and Brendan Gilbreath of Annapolis. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday, January 16 from 4pm until a memorial service begins at 5pm at Mt. Oak United Methodist Church, 14110 Mount Oak Road, Mitchellville, MD 20721. Interment private.
