David T. Beard - Obituary

avid T. Beard, “Lil Dave” 43, a 3-year resident of Huntington, MD, and previously a 28-year resident of Bowie, passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, surrounded by his family, following his lifelong battle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. David was born on July 5, 1979, in Silver Spring, MD to David and Vickie Beard. David graduated Cum Laude with an Associate’s Degree from Anne Arundel Community College. He later attended the University of Maryland but he was unable to complete his degree due to his illness. He was an avid sports fan whose favorite teams included the Cincinnati Bengals, Washington Capitals, and Michigan University. David was preceded in death by his sister, Katherine Ann Beard. In addition to his parents, David is survived by his devoted and beloved brother, Patrick W. Beard, his cousins; Hope & Paul Noone, Kristin Noone, Jennifer Kirkman McDermott, Emily Ramey, Mike McDermott, CUZ Pat McDermott and his best friend for life “Bootsie”, Eric Skinner. Special thank you to; Daniel Obeng and Barb McCullough, for all the years devoted to caring for David. Family and friends are invited to celebrate David’s life on Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 1 pm until his funeral service begins at 2 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD 21037 Interment private.
