avid “Dave” Clarence Hash, Jr., 56, a 17-year resident of Edgewater died suddenly August 9 of heart failure. He was born on February 11, 1956 in Richmond, VA to the late Joan and David Clarence Hash, Sr. and graduated from high school in Independence, VA. Dave was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army after 4 years of service during which time he was stationed in Germany. He was a sterilizer technical specialist and serviced sterilizers for medical and research facilities throughout the Washington-Baltimore area. He was an avid Harley rider and spent many enjoyable hours on his Sportster. He was a fan of tattoos and enjoyed reading books, joking with people and visiting with his sister in the Appalachian mountains. Dave also loved spending time with his dogs, Sparky and Snoopy. Dave is survived by his wife of 21 years, Patricia Anne Hash; his brother, Ernest Hash of Lexington, KY and two sisters, Jeanie Hash of Elk Creek, VA and Diane Pittman of Winchester, KY. Dave is also survived by many beloved nieces & nephews Friends are invited to Dave’s Life Celebration on Monday, August 13 from 2PM until his funeral service begins at 3PM at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
