avid Murray “Hoop” Hooper, 45, a resident of Annapolis, MD died on November 25, 2014. Born on December 5, 1968 in Annapolis to Murray Hooper and the late Donna Friedrichs, David was a graduate of Broadneck High School where he still holds records in lacrosse. He also graduated from Anne Arundel Community College. David loved tennis, music and playing the guitar. He released a CD of his original music in 2012 that can be heard on his website: www.davehoopermusic.com. He was also an accomplished cook and attended a culinary school in Burbank, CA.
David is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Wendy Kiel Hooper; two children, Maddie Hooper and Justin Hooper, both of Annapolis; two brothers, Sam Hooper of Corvallis, OR and Alex Hooper of Hollywood, CA; and two sisters, Stephany Hooper Gallagher of Easton, PA and Sara Hooper Majewski of Mechanicsville, VA.
Friends are invited to David’s Life Celebration from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, November 28 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. A Memorial Mass will be offered at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 29 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD. Inurnment private.
