avid Paul Spadaro, 64, a resident of Mayo for 37 years, passed away peacefully at his home on January 1, 2026 after a four year battle with cancer. He faced his cancer with immense courage, he endured more than most and did so with incredible strength and dignity. David was born May 24, 1961 in Washington, DC and graduated from Bladensburg High School. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps as a Field Radio Operator in the 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Division. After his honorable discharge he spent his career in the family business at Spadaro Plumbing. David was the Third Generation Master Plumber. David was a member of American Legion Post 226 and a Mug-Holding member of Bull on the Beach 94th Street. In his spare time, David's hobbies and interests included golf, softball, boating, dancing, sunbathing on the balcony of 502, spending time with family and friends and being a Pop Pop to his grandchildren. David was preceded in death by his father, Jack Spadaro and brother, Darrell Spadaro. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Beverly Spadaro; his children, Jason (Stephanie) Spadaro, Kristina (Colin) Poore and Joshua (Kelly) Spadaro, all of Edgewater; his grandchildren, Ellie, Laila, James, Reagan, Kellan, and Jackson; his mother, Darlene Spadaro; and his siblings, Donald Spadaro and Joan Mittelstetter, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. A ceremony followed by a celebration of David's life will be held on Saturday, January 17th 2:00 pm at the American Legion Post 226, 830 Mayo Road, Edgewater, MD 21037. A private interment will be held at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
