David Wolff - Obituary

D

avid Abraham Wolff, 91, a 35-year resident of Annapolis and previously Adelphi, MD, passed away on April 17, 2016 at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center after a brief illness. Born on November 25, 1924 in Washington, DC to the late David and Perla Wolff, David graduated from Roosevelt High School. He served in the U.S. Navy and made his career as a salesman for the George W. Allen Co. in Washington, DC. He was a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Crownsville and previously was a layperson and member of the vestry in the Episcopal Church. He was also a lifetime member of the Lion’s Club International. David enjoyed traveling and was an avid golfer who was proud of achieving seven holes-in-one. David was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Ruth Marie Wolff. He is survived by two sons, Russell A. Wolff of Monrovia, MD and Richard C. Wolff of Vienna, VA; two daughters, Nancy E. Knotts and Cindy R. Wren, both of Elkridge, MD; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to celebrate David’s life from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 21 at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Crownsville Road and General’s Highway in Crownsville, MD. Interment will follow at the Maryland Veteran’s Cemetery in Crownsville.
