Dean Carlson - Obituary

ean Mills Carlson, 41, a lifelong resident of Annapolis, MD died of heart failure on July 14, 2008 at his home. Born March 16, 1967 in Karlsruhe, Germany, he was a 1985 graduate of Annapolis Senior High School and attended Anne Arundel Community College for 2 years. He was most recently employed at Ruths Chris Steak House in Eastport, MD. His prior employment was as an Applebee's mid-Atlantic regional manager for 10 years, which included the Annapolis Applebee's. He was a competitive swimmer for the Naval Academy Junior Team, loved playing Dungeons & Dragons and was a master of the Rubik's Cube. His hobbies included deep sea fishing, golf, the Golden Tee arcade game, car racing, cooking, skiing, billiards, softball, spending time with his friends, but mostly loved music. He is survived by his fiancé Susan Clasen and her children Mark, Brian and Mary; brother of Kirstin B. Carlson of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; son of Col. Dean M. Carlson, U.S. Army Ret. and Elke Louisa Carlson, both of Melbourne, FL. Friends are invited to Dean's Life Celebration on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD at 12:00 P.M. Interment Private.
