Debbie Dee DeCesaris - Obituary

W

ith profound sorrow and overflowing love, we announce the passing of our beloved Debbie Dee — a beautiful, strong, God-loving woman who was the heart and soul of our family. She passed peacefully surrounded by those who loved her most, after a courageous and unwavering battle with cancer. She was more than just a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend — she was our angel on earth. A selfless giver, a quiet warrior, a beacon of faith and light. She lived with grace, led with strength, and loved without limits. A proud matriarch, Debbie was the anchor of our family — our queen, our best friend, our guiding light. Her arms were always open, her prayers never ceased, and her heart held room for everyone. Whether through a warm meal, a wise word, or a gentle smile, she touched countless lives with kindness and compassion. She fought like a true badass — full of grit, full of fire, full of faith. Cancer never defined her; love did. She showed us how to live with purpose, how to face adversity with courage, and how to walk in faith even through the darkest valleys. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit lives on in every one of us — in every act of love, every shared story, every prayer whispered heavenward. Heaven gained an angel, but we gained a guardian. We will honor her legacy by loving as she loved, giving as she gave, and holding tight to the unbreakable bond she created among us. She is survived by her children, Anthony, Amy, Marco Jr., Monica, Kristi and Robert; her cherished grandchildren, Julia, Anthony Jr., Drew, Emily, Brody, Marco III, Penelope and baby D; her dear sisters, Sherry (David) Arter and Penni Meador; and her devoted companion, Scott Cronin. She is reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Marco; parents, David and Betty Boswell, and father-in-law Anthony DeCesaris; and nephew Davey Arter, among many other loved ones. Rest in peace, our queen. You were — and always will be — our everything. Friends are invited to celebrate Debbie's life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd.
