Deborah L. Cox - Obituary

eborah L. Cox "Debbie", 48 of Edgewater and previously of Pasadena, MD passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016 after a 10 month battle with cancer. Born in Baltimore on November 14, 1968 to Allen and the late Margaret Willard, Debbie was a 1986 graduate of Old Mill High School and attended Anne Arundel Community College for two years. She worked as an IT Functional Analyst Supervisor with the Revenue Administration Division for the Comptroller of Maryland. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Edgewater and South River Youth Athletics. Debbie enjoyed boating, crabbing, fishing and spending time at the beach. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and attending her children's sporting events. Debbie was preceded in death by her mother Margaret Willard. She is survived by her husband, of nearly 19 years, Michael E. Cox, Jr; her two children, Michael Allen Cox and Megan Cox both of Edgewater; her father, Allen Willard of Berkley Springs, WV; four sisters, Teresa Hamrick of Johnstown, PA, Janet Ensey of Westminster, Donna Weaver of Cambridge, and Brenda Brousseau of Gambrills. Friends are invited to celebrate Debbie's life on Monday, November 21 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD where her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 22 at 11 am.
