Deborah Jean DeCheubel - Obituary

eborah “Debbie” Jean DeCheubel, 70, a thirty-year resident of Edgewater MD, passed away at the Anne Arundel Medical Center on September 1, 2023, due to complications associated with diabetes and heart disease. Debbie was born on October 12, 1952, in West Virginia to the late Robert and Glendora Twigg. After completing high school, Debbie worked as a secretary for East-West Lincoln for more than 30 years. Debbie enjoyed spending time with her family and her beloved dogs. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, David DeCheubel, Sr.; her children, Danny Johnson of Naples, FL and Ariel DeCheubel of Charleston, WV; her sibling, Beverly Jo Wright of Demorest, GA and her grandchildren, Blake, Jordanna and Gracie Johnson, Jacoby Boswell and Tommy Smith; Debbie was preceded in death by her son, David DeCheubel and a brother, Robert Twigg, Jr. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County, 1815 Bay Ridge Ave., Annapolis, MD 21403. Friends are invited to celebrate Debbie’s life on Wednesday, September 20 from 2 to 3 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Please check back for updates.
