Debra Lynn Wallace - Obituary

D

ebra Lynn Wallace, age 55, passed peacefully at her home in Eastport, Annapolis on Sunday, March 27, 2022. Deb died after a brave battle with cancer, always surrounded by her family and close friends. Deb is survived by her husband Martin Wallace; sons Martin Curran (Emily) Wallace and Daniel Luehrs (Bethany) Wallace; father James Wells and stepmother Kathy Wells of North Carolina; siblings Teri Jennings, Karen (Ted) Conroy, and Jim (Melanie) Wells; nephews Gavin & Stephen Jennings and Devin & Bryan Conroy. Deb was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Barbara Ann Wells, and grandparents Joseph & Becky Wells and Lloyd & Rita Luehrs. Deb was born October 8, 1966 in Washington, DC. She graduated from LaReine High School in 1984 and University of Maryland in 1989 with a degree in Journalism. She worked as a Patient Care Coordinator for several doctors in the area, most recently with Drs. Lee, Bonfiglio, and Vesely. Deb and Marty met in the spring of 1984 (thank you Mary Hickey Teale), and they were married in October 1989. They welcomed Marty in 1993 and Danny in 1995. Deb truly lived life to the fullest enjoying trips to the beach, boating with her husband, attending live music events, and hosting her family and friends. Watching her boys grow into successful young men was her greatest joy. Deb’s celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 9 at 3:00 pm at the Mid Atlantic Community Church, 2485 Davidsonville Road, Gambrills, MD 21054. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Colon Cancer Coalition (coloncancercoalition.org) or to the Mid Atlantic Community Church (themacc.org). Deb leaves us with a lasting legacy to find the joy in life and ALWAYS DANCE! She will be forever in our hearts! Condolences may be made by using the Memories tab on this page.
