ell Lovett Coyle, 87, a forty-three-year resident of Columbia, MD, previously of Silver Spring, MD and Savannah, GA, died on Tuesday, December 12 in Harwood, MD. She was born in Waynesboro, GA to the late Julia M. and James C. Lovett, Sr. Dell was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Francis J. Coyle, Jr.; son, Dennis M. Coyle; siblings, James C. Lovett, Jr. and Walter M. Lovett. She is survived by her children, Stephen F. Coyle of Ellicott City, MD, Theresa C. (Steven) Proctor of Elkridge, MD and Denise C. (Kevin) Kerley of Millersville, MD; her siblings, Charlie A. (Lanell) Lovett of Martinez, GA and Rose (Ed) Gibbs of Hiawassee, GA; her grandchildren, Katie, Michael, Kristin, Jaclyn, Thomas, Amanda and Allyssa, and four great-grandchildren, Kira, Autumn, Aubrey and Lucas.
Dell worked with the Burke County (Georgia) Sheriff's Department, the FBI in Savannah, GA and Washington, DC and retired as a correspondence analyst with the Department of Commerce. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ellicott City, MD. Dell enjoyed cowboy movies, visiting family in Georgia and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to celebrate Dell's life at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Sunday, December 17 from 2 to 5 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Severna Park, MD on Monday, December 18 at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Marriottsville, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Hwy., Pasadena, MD 21122.
