Dennis R. Hatfield - Obituary

ennis R. "Denny" Hatfield, 68, of Edgewater and previously of Silver Spring, MD passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, April 7, 2018. Denny was born in Toledo, OH to the late Beauford and Mildred Hatfield. He earned his BS with Honors from University of Maryland College Park, and his dental degree from The Ohio State University Dental School. Denny was the owner and practitioner of Dennis R. Hatfield DDS PC in Greenbelt. He was a 25 year member of Rotary. He was an avid boater who also enjoyed volunteering his time and skills in dentistry, participating in Maryland Mission of Mercy, Maryland’s Donated Dental Program and missionary work in Africa. Denny is survived by his only child Heather McCarthy and her husband Patrick of Odenton; a step-son, Woody Fentress of Philadelphia; a granddaughter Kaelyn McCarthy; a sister Deborah Muratore of Nevada and his ex-wife Robin Hatfield.
