Derek Voorhees - Obituary

n February 2, 2015, Derek Bradford Voorhees, 61, loving husband, father, and grandfather, of West River, formerly of Edgewater, passed away in his home. Born in Albany, NY, he was a graduate of Southern Senior High School, and employed by IKOR Construction Supply of Beltsville. He is survived by his mother, Elaine Gibbs Voorhees, of Catonsville; his wife, Maggie; son Jared Marcus Voorhees, of Bowie; daughters Jenna Voorhees Lanoue (Jeren, husband) and Jessie Voorhees Graham (Matt, husband); and grandson Leviathan Graham; and two brothers, David James Voorhees of Catonsville (Mary Ellen, wife), and Scott Gibbs Voorhees (Dawn, wife) of Shady Side. Friends may call on Friday, February 6, 2015 from 6 to 8pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd. Edgewater, MD, where a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 11am. Interment private.
