n Thursday, May 14, 2009; the beloved father of Bernard Simms, Jr; brother of Vondell Ward and Charles Simms, Jr.; godfather of Krista Burrell, Robbie Toogood and Keleye Jones; nephew of Florine Jones. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to Det. Simms' Life Celebration at St. Bernardine of Siena Catholic Church, 2400 Brooks Dr., Suitland, MD on Friday, May 22 from 10am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
