ixie Lee Vinciguerra “Memom”, 72, a 6- year resident of Deale and previously of West River, died at her home on November 27, 2010. She was born on January 8, 1938 in Washington, D.C. and worked for 35 years in the Prince George’s County School System before retiring in 2005. Dixie had a gift for making a variety of crafts and enjoyed shopping for the things she couldn’t make. Most of all, Dixie loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Dixie is survived by two sons, Mark J. (Ann) Vinciguerra of Fort Washington and Paul A. (Monica) Vinciguerra of Takoma Park; and two daughters, Gina V. (Raymond) Barrett of Davidsonville and Lisa (Thomas) Williams of Deale. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to Dixie’s Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, December 2, at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, West River, MD.
