olores Marie Baumgardner Andersen, age 80, a 2-year resident of Cape Canaveral, FL and formerly of Annapolis, MD for 50 years, died on October 31, 2008 in Cape Canaveral after an 8-month battle with cancer. She was born on June 7, 1928 in Baltimore, MD to the late John David and Mildred Baumgardner. She graduated from Western High School in Baltimore in 1947. Dolores was a mother, wife and homemaker. She also was an antique dealer in the Baltimore-Washington Metro area for 45 years. She traveled extensively with her late husband. They visited all 50 states as well as Europe, South America, Central America, Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean Islands. In addition, Dolores enjoyed reading, gardening and history. She was a Lioness in Annapolis, a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Annapolis and the Cocoa Beach Community Church in Cocoa Beach, FL.
On November 25, 1948, she married Norman R. Andersen who died in 2006. She was the mother of Deborah Houghton of Annapolis, MD, Kathy Andersen-Smith of Cape Canaveral, FL, and the late Linda Andersen. She is also survived by one grandson, David Andrew Smith of Durham, NC, one brother, John David Baumgardner, Jr. of Newport, ME and one sister, Mary Viola Mullen of Moorehead, KY
