Donald R. Colbert - Obituary

onald "Don" Ray Colbert, 92, a 35-year resident of Annapolis, MD and previously of New Carrollton, MD, died at Anne Arundel Medical Center on March 19, 2021. Born October 7, 1928 in North Carolina to the late Wilson and Gertrude Colbert, he served his country as a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Don worked as a communications engineer for most of his career at Booz Allen, General Dynamics Mission Systems, and Computer Sciences Corporation. He was a longtime member of Riva Trace Baptist Church and enjoyed golf and traveling. Don is survived by a son, Donald Colbert, Jr. of Bowie, MD. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Nancy Colbert; and a daughter, Lee Ann Colbert. A service will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at 2:30 pm at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville.
