Donald Remsen - Obituary

onald M. Remsen, 61, an 8-month resident of Edgewater, MD and previously of Silver Spring, MD for most of his life, died February 7, 2009 at Anne Arundel Medical Center of a heart attack. Born October 18, 1947 in Takoma Park, MD, he was a 1965 graduate of Montgomery Blair High School. He retired from the Montgomery County government. Mr. Remsen was a member of the Woodside United Methodist Church in Silver Spring, MD. His hobbies included sports and bowling, which he had done for many years. He was the beloved brother of Peter Remsen of Edgewater, MD; uncle of Stacey Lewis of Centreville, MD; and is also survived by 2 great nephews. Friends are invited to Donald's Life Celebration on Thursday, February 12 from 6 to 8pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD, where services will be held on Friday, February 13 at 10:30 AM. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, MD.
