Donita Mallek - Obituary

onita “Doni” Mallek, 75, a 42-year resident of Edgewater, died of heart disease on December 19, 2008 at George Washington University Hospital. She was born August 29, 1933 in Comstock, TX. She worked as a school bus aide with the Anne Arundel County school system. She was a member of the Fountain View Community Church in Ft. Myer, FL. An avid Redskins fan, she also enjoyed rubber stamping, scrapbooking and gardening. She is survived by her husband, Keith B. Mallek, whom she married in 1958; her children: Gregory Mallek of Chicago, IL; Stephanie Wardwell of Woodbridge, VA; Debra Torres of Saline, MI and April Gott of Lothian, MD; and seven grandchildren. Friends are invited to Doni's Life Celebration on Monday, December 22 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD where services will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 A.M. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
