onna Sue Conte, 74, a loving wife, devoted mother, beloved grandmother, and the heart of her family, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026, surrounded by those who loved her most. Born on May 31, 1951, in Cambridge, MD, she grew into a woman whose greatest joy was caring for her family. Whether she was preparing Sunday Dinner or teaching a grandchild how to stir the strawberry jam, she expressed her love through food, generosity, and acts of kindness. Her recipes—some handwritten, some memorized, all made with love—will continue to be shared around family tables for generations. She was a wife who loved unconditionally, a mother whose guidance was constant, and a grandmother whose hugs could soften any day. Her kitchen was always filled with the aroma of love, and her table was a haven of comfort, stories, and laughter. She is survived by her husband, Anthony Conte, her children Anthony, Joseph, (Addie), Jennifer, (Christopher), Dominick, (Rosa), her grandchildren Gabriella, Marisa, Joseph, Anthony, Raimondo, Olivia, Annabella, Stella, Lillian, and Elizabeth, all of whom will carry forward her traditions, her stories, and her unwavering belief in the importance of family. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Donna's life on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 10:30 am until a Mass of Christian Burial is offered at 11:30 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 101 Owensville Road, West River, MD 20778. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to donate to the Our Lady of Sorrows Poor Fund and honor her memory by cooking a favorite meal for someone you love—just as she did so often. Her warmth and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
