Doris Balant - Obituary

f La Plata, MD passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the age of 92. Born in South Hill, VA on August 1, 1921. The beloved wife of the late Leonard M. Norstrude and John Balant; mother of Edward C.(Kathleen) Norstude; sister of Lee Deal, Sr.; grandmother of Ann Elkins, Joy Pauley, Dawn Sando, Bryan Schmidt, John Wheeler and Victor Norstrude. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends and was preceded in death be her two daughters. Relatives and friends are invited to Doris' Life Celebration on Friday, December 27 from 11am until time of service at 12pm at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
