oris Elizabeth Blubaugh Botts, 89, a 10-year resident of Greenbelt, MD died on December 9, 2010 at Rutherford Manor in Davidsonville, MD. Born October 7, 1921 in Waynesboro, PA, to the late Joseph and Edna Blubaugh, she graduated from Eastern High School in Washington, DC. Doris was employed at the Washington Suburban Sanitation Commission in Hyattsville as a customer service representative and retired from the Prince George’s County Board of Education in Landover, MD. Doris was a member of Keller Memorial Lutheran Church and St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Washington DC. She enjoyed dancing, music, gardening, politics and spending time with her family. She was the beloved wife of John Ellsworth Botts, Sr., whom she married in June 1941 and who died in September 1969; mother of Joan Uphoff of Pasadena, MD, Janet Tripp of Huntingtown, MD, Judy Madison of Bluffton, SC, Jennifer Jumalon of Edgewater, MD and the late John Ellsworth Botts, Jr., who died November 1970; sister of the late Joseph Mentzer Blubaugh, Jr. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Ft. Lincoln Cemetery Chapel, 3401 Bladensburg Road, Brentwood, MD on Thursday, December 16 from 10am until time of service begins at 11am. Interment Ft.
