Doris Rathbun - Obituary

oris Rathbun, 87, a 14-year resident of Heritage Harbour in Annapolis, died April 16 at her home. Born on November 7, 1925 in Baltimore, Doris worked as an administrative assistant for Associated General Contractors of America. She enjoyed counted cross stitching, playing bridge and cooking. She was an active member of the water aerobics program at Heritage Harbour. Doris was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence Dolle. She is survived by her husband, Austin Byrd; one son, Lee Rathbun of Houston, TX; daughter in law, Louise Rathbun of York, PA; four grandchildren, Alexander Dolle of Mexico, Lauren Ely of Colorado and Matthew and Lyndsay Rathbun of York, PA; and three great-grandchildren, Justin and Christopher Ely and Adrianne Dolle. Friends are invited to Doris' Life Celebration from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 18, at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater where her funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, April 19. Interment private.
