orothy M. “Dot” Chin, 92, a nineteen-year resident of Annapolis, MD and previously of Bowie, passed away on Sunday, February 1, at her home. Born on August 30, 1933, in Washington, DC to the late James and Esther Chan, Dot was a graduate of Wilson High School. She worked at the U.S. Census Bureau in the Data Users Services Division for many years. Dot was a member of Mothers of Twins and in her spare time she enjoyed knitting and puzzles. In addition to her parents, Dot was preceded in death by her husband, Tin Fook “Fookie” Chin and her sister, Sandra Chang. She is survived by her children, Ronald J. Chin of Annapolis, MD, Roger G. Chin of Ocean City, MD, Raymond T. Chin of Owings, MD, Rosemary J. Lee of Port Republic, MD and Robin C. Goldberg of Chesapeake Beach, MD; her sisters, Margie Yee of Carson, CA and Jane Huie of Oxon Hill, MD and eleven grandchildren. Friends are invited to celebrate Dot's life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Tuesday, February 10 from 10 am until her funeral service begins at 11 am. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland, MD.
