Dorothy Lousie Gruss - Obituary

e are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of Dorothy "Dot" Gruss, 86, a longtime resident of Gambrills, MD and recently of Annapolis, on May 4, 2026. Dot worked as a Dietitian and Electrologist as well as raising two children. She is a 20-year cancer survivor. Dot enjoyed gardening, baking, spending summers in Maine and spending time with family and friends. Dot is survived by her four siblings, Roger, Bob (Joni), Pat (Bill) and Greg (June); her son Brad and his wife Lisa; her daughter Cindi and her husband Doug, and two granddaughters Haley and Kaitlyn. Dot was predeceased by her parents and husband of 55 years, Robert. Mass of the Resurrection will be offered on Thursday May 28 at 10 am at Our Lady of the Fields Roman Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Ave S, Millersville, MD 21108. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dot’s name to the Red Cross (online here or mail to PO Box 37839, Boone, IA 50037-0839), Our Lady of the Fields Roman Catholic Church (online here), or the charity of your choice.
