Dorothy N. Hardesty - Obituary

orothy N. Hardesty (Age 92) Passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at her home at Brightview South River Assisted Living, Edgewater, MD. She was born March 8, 1926, to Walter Thomas and Dorothy Mae Nicholson. Widow of the late Eugene D. Hardesty; she is survived by her children Donald Hardesty (Diane), Sandra Bailey, Steven Hardesty, Brenda Dodson, and David Hardesty (Kathy), eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Dorothy grew up in the Mitchellville/Upper Marlboro area and graduated from Marlboro High School in 1943. Following a 31-year career with the District Court in Upper Marlboro, she retired in 1991. During her retirement, she was active with the Belair Senior Citizens Club of Bowie and enjoyed many trips and activities with them. Dorothy touched many lives during her 92 years and will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. Friends are invited to celebrate Dorothy's life on Friday, April 6 at George P. Kalas Funeral Home, Edgewater, MD, from 11:00 a.m until her funeral service begins at 12:00 p.m. Interment immediately following at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, Davidsonville, MD.
