Dorothy Ann Johnson - Obituary

f Capital Heights, MD, departed this life on Thursday, February 28, 2019, at Southern Maryland Hospital. Dorothy was born on January 19, 1942 to Annie M. White and the late James Simms. She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Johnson, Jr. Dorothy is survived by her children Earl Johnson, James (Cherlyn ) Johnson, Larry (Pamela ) Johnson, Bertha (Larry) Colbert, Patricia (William) Lewis, and Linda Johnson; her sister Jean Proctor; sister-in-law Juanita Johnson; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one niece; and three nephews. Dorothy loved cooking for herself and others, playing cards with friends and family, and being surrounded by her family in general. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 6 beginning 10 A.M. at the KALAS FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 6160 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, MD, until the time of service at 11:00 A.M. Interment Lincoln Memorial Cemetery.
