Dorothy McDowell - Obituary

orothy Louise McDowell, 89, a 23-year resident of Heritage Harbour in Annapolis and previously of Crofton, MD, died on Wednesday, February 22 at her home after a lengthy illness. Dorothy was born May 9, 1922 in New York to the late Albert and Marguerite Sheffield. She was a homemaker and was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church and enjoyed oil painting and her aerobics group at Heritage Harbour. She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew L. McDowell, who died in 1997. She is survived by her children; Robert McDowell of Medina, Washington and Carolyn Taylor of Davidsonville, MD and her grandchildren; Andrew Snyder of Odenton, MD and Alison Jayne of Annapolis, MD. The family will hold a private graveside service for Dorothy. Arrangements by the George P. Kalas Funeral Home.
